Awards can hold a great value or significance to the recipient and can be cherished over a long period of time. But how long can you ride on the back of an achievement?
Trophies, medals, certificates and stickers - they are tangible forms of evidence that demonstrate to others that one person or a group of people have accomplished something 'special' and have been recognised for it.
Skills can deteriorate, winners can be replaced and records can be beaten. The main question is how long do we deserve to carry an award? My project explores the relationship between achievements and time, focusing on developing lifespans for certain achievements.
