The streets are dominated by a uniform of institutions- chain stores and standardised housing. Monolithic systems like Google Maps generate impenetrable images of neutral sprawl, punctuated only by the occasional 'officially recognised' point of interest.
However, the spaces we inhabit are the backdrops for our lives; the building blocks for stories, identity, culture and community. A place's character is defined by the people that live there, but most often the stories of individual inhabitants go unnoticed and unknown.
My project is an exploration of the symbiotic relationship between place and person. Despite modern ideas of demographics, everywhere and everyone is different.
What if you could see the world through someone else's eyes?
